Become a Snowboard Instructor in Canada
Have you ever thought it would be fun to snowboard and get paid for it? Here is an overview of what you'll need to do!
Steps
- Be of age. You must be 15 years old to enroll in a CASI course. [citation needed]
- Learn to snowboard yourself! You can't teach it if you aren't good yourself, obviously.
- Visit the CASI (Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors) website
- Optional - If you are apprehensive about your skills, there is a Level 1 preparation course that will help if you feel you need it.

- Enroll in the CASI course of your choice.
- Pay attention, study and pass it!
- Apply for a position with a local resort.
Tips
- If you don't like working with people, this is not the job for you!!
- Resorts are looking for people who are fun, creative and can combine that with being responsible.
- Study the course guide beforehand, it will help!
Warnings
- If you never took lessons yourself, expect to be broken down and built back up. This is the process of refining your style/skills to the standards expected by the CASI evaluators.
