Do you look at people like Lil Mama, Rihanna, Ciara, and Beyonce and want to be like them? Become a Hip Hop girl with just a few changes to your look, behavior, and wardrobe - you'll be surprised how easy it is to look "dope."

Steps

  1. Wear "hip hop girl" clothes. To be a hip hop girl, you have to dress like one. Clothes such as colored skinny jeans, a colorful hoodie, stylish sunglasses and some dope sneakers - go for Nike's, DC's, Jordan’s, Baby Phat and Adidas. Brands like South Pole, Fabulosity, and Ecko red are really good. Look at some of your favorite celebrity hip hop girls for clothing inspiration.
  2. Copy the hair. There is no real hairstyle for hip hop girls, you just have to be daring! Look at Rihanna and Lil Mama's hair for ideas on how to style yours. Crimping, straightening, and coloring are all things you can do.
  3. Copy the makeup style. Just like hair, there isn't really specific makeup you have to do to be hip hop. Just be bold. Try fake eyelashes and bright eyeshadow and eyeliners. Dramatic red or Barbie pink lipstick is also good for your look. Defiantly to the lip gloss
  4. Copy the nails. If you haven't noticed already, most hip hop girls have cute nails. Go to a salon and get them painted in bold colors like, orange, yellow, teal or a bright pink. Or you can get acrylics put on just make sure they aren't super long! You can paint them yourself or have the nail artist paint them. Try pink zebra stripes or something crazy.
  5. Copy the moves. In order be a hip hop girl, you must dance like a hip hop girl. Take hip hop dance lessons or watch dance shows to get a sense of what you should look like when you're dancing. You need to be able to swing your hips and shake your butt.
  6. Talk like a hip-hop girl. Try using some slang words in your vocabulary. Always remember that just because you dress a certain way it doesn't mean your intelligence should decrease.
  7. Get the music! Listen to hip hop music like Ciara, Kelis, Drake, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Beyonce, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Lil Mama, and other hip hop/rap artists.
