Burn DVDs Using IFOedit
Burning DVDs (Geek-speak for taking a movie from your PC's hard-drive and making a copy onto a DVD+R) is good for making a backup of your movie that can be watched on any DVD player.
Steps
- Download IFOedit, a free program which manipulates the IFO files found on a DVD, that we are going to use to make new IFOs.
- Extract the contents of IFOeditxx.zip to an accessible folder.
- Run The IFOedit.exe program from the folder and click the button labeled "Create IFOs".
- Use the next window to select the first VOB file that you have on your hard drive and click OK to begin the new IFO creation.
- You should now have a complete and perfect copy of the DVD with new IFO files on your hard drive, which you can burn to a DVD-R at your leisure.
- Alternately, just open DVD shrink, and select "Open Files" at the top. Deselect whatever languages you don't want, and then click "Backup". Choose where to store your temporary files, and click "OK" it will now shrink it and then burn it!

- Try it before u buy it
Warnings
- Understand copyright laws in your country before ripping any copyrighted DVDs.
- Understand that in the US, you may be able to rip a copy of copyrighted material for your own use under the concept of Fair Use.
- Circumventing DRM is illegal in and of itself, regardless of ownership of the IP or intent after disabling the DRM method. Read up on the DMCA and then contact your congressman!
- Please don't use this technique for piracy. Burning a DVD for your own collection may be fine. Making your copyrighted material available for the whole Internet to download is illegal.
