Convert PowerPoint to Flash Using Open Source Tools

It would be exciting (and useful) if you could convert a Powerpoint presentation to Flash in a completely free way. Well, you can do it with some open source tools. Read this step-by-step tutorial to learn the details.

Steps

1. Launch OpenOffice.org.
2. Open the Powerpoint presentation that you wish to convert to flash.
3. Click File then Export.
4. Choose Macromedia Flash (SWF) .swf in the Filter box.
5. Click OK.
6. Unfortunately the Impress (OO-VS3.0) flash export lacks support for animation effects:
