Create a Custom URL on LinkedIn

This article teaches you how to customize the URL of your LinkedIn profile.

Steps

  1. Go to https://www.linkedin.com in a web browser. You can use any web browser on your computer to access LinkedIn, such as Chrome or Safari.
    • If you aren’t already signed in to LinkedIn, type your email address and password into the blanks and click Sign In.
  2. Click Me. It’s in the blue bar at the top of LinkedIn.
  3. Click View Profile.
  4. Click Edit your public profile. It’s in the menu on the right side of the screen.
  5. Click the Edit icon next to your public profile URL. It’s at the top of the right column and looks like a pencil.
  6. Enter a new URL. You can only change the last part (the part that comes after www.linkedin.com/) of the URL.
    • For example, if you typed “wikihow,” your new custom URL would be https://www.linkedin.com/wikihow.
  7. Click Save. Your custom URL is now active.
