Create a Stern Wave with a Small Outboard Motorboat
Do you want to create a stern wave with a small motorboat? A stern wave fans out from the back (stern) of the boat as opposed to a bow wave, which fans out from the front. This article will help you create one!
Steps
- Start the engine and find an open area for the wave.
- Make sure there are no other boats near you.
- Make some speed, but not too much.
- Gently push the stick away from you.
- Pull the stick towards you very quickly (completely towards you; not to the starting position), and make as many RPM as possible.
- If this doesn't work, try again while pulling the stick towards you faster or by making more RPM.
Tips
- The smaller the boat, the easier this is.
Warnings
- Not everyone will like this, so stay away from other boats. Large stern waves can capsize smaller boats and cause turbulence for larger boats.
- Making too many RPM too fast may damage your engine or even your boat.
