Decorate a Mirror with CDs You Don't Need

It is not a surprise that you may find piles of scratched, damaged, unneeded CD's around your house. These CD's can be put into good use in this creative room decoration! This articles provides an easy method to decorate your mirrors and make them your own using CD's you may find at home.

Steps

  1. Find a mirror without anything on it (such as a frame or hanger).

  2. Get some CDs of any kind (the free ones you get in the mail work nicely). You'll need a lot.

  3. Place some tape down the center of each CD on the front and back.

  4. Place a ruler at the center of the tape you put in the center of the CD, and with a utility knife cut straight down using the ruler to keep you straight. Flip it over and do the the same. Most likely, you will not be able to cut all the way through.

  5. Softly bend the CD in half. It should break cleanly.

  6. Take a clean mirror and a hot glue gun or glass glue and frame the half odds around the edges.

  7. Put a wall hanging kit on the back.

  8. Hang your creation on the wall.

Tips

  • Masking tape is the best type to use.
  • You can also paint the CDs for an extra-nice look.
  • You can put your own pictures in the center of each CD.

Warnings
