Delete Conversations on Skype on iPhone or iPad
This article teaches you how to delete a Skype conversation (or a message within a conversation) from your iPhone or iPad.
Steps
Deleting a Conversation
- Open Skype. It’s a blue and white icon with an “S” typically found on the home screen.
- If you’re not signed in, enter your Skype login account name, then tap the arrow key to continue. Enter your password, then tap Sign in.
- Select the conversation you want to delete.
- Tap the name of the conversation. If this is a group conversation, you’ll tap the name of the group at the top of the screen. If it’s a conversation with an individual, tap that person’s name.
- Tap Delete chat.
- Tap Delete to confirm. This conversation will no longer appear in Skype.
Deleting a Message from a Conversation
- Open Skype. It’s a blue and white icon with an “S” typically found on the home screen.
- If you’re not signed in, enter your Skype login account name, then tap the arrow key to continue. Enter your password, then tap Sign in.
- Select the conversation that contains the message you want to delete.
- Tap and hold the message you want to delete. A menu will appear.
- Tap Delete. This replaces the message with the text “This message has been removed.”
- If you do not see a “Delete” option, the time limit for deleting this message has passed.
