Design Your Very Own Aircraft
This article will show you how to design a basic sketch of an aircraft on paper. However, this does not show how to build or fly your aircraft, it only tells how to design it on paper. If you want to go a step further, research your local and national aviation laws.
Steps
- On a piece of scrap paper, list what your aircraft will be used for, what size it should be, how much weight it can carry,etc...
- On another piece of scrap paper, draw what you think the aircraft should look like.
- On your Graph Paper, draw views of your aircraft from every angle LIGHTLY with a pencil, right side, front back and inside). Be Prepared to use quite a few sheets of your graph paper so you can draw big.
- With your pen, trace over the drawings.
- On the plain paper, draw your aircraft again from every angle LIGHTLY with a pencil.
- Trace over them with the pen.
- Use your computer program to redesign it in 3D
