Draw Scenery
Have you drawn a castle or just about anything and need scenery? You must know how, or else your fantastic drawing will become messed up. So why not learn? To draw beginner scenery you need to read on.
Steps
- Know the foreground, background and middle ground, basically, front, back and middle. Draw two lines very softly to make three rectangles, each taking up one third of your paper without overlapping your drawing. Anything in these rectangles are part of either the foreground, background or middle ground.
- On the top line goes the smallest things. In the second they are bigger and on the bottom they are biggest. Ex: if you are drawing trees, they are biggest on the bottom. in the line closest to the middle make them a bit smaller. If they are at the top line, make them smaller. CAUTION! If there are mountains in your picture, do not make them small in the background. Feel free to make them large.
- Draw any additional things. (birds, animals, rocks, etc.)
- Draw diagonal lines that get bigger as they end starting from the top line. Do not go over any drawings.
- Erase middle ground. CAUTION! Do not erase the background line, in some cases it can be a horizon and in other cases it can just look better.
- Finished.
Tips
- Remember to use proportions! Don't make a mouse bigger than a tree if they are on the same ground.
- It will look better if you draw your scenery on a horizontal paper.
