Draw a Confederate Flag
Do you want to learn how to draw a Confederate or "rebel" flag?Here is how to draw it. First, get out a normal piece of clean white paper, a pencil, and two markers, a red, and a blue.

Steps
- Using the pencil, draw an x on the piece of paper. Make the center of the x a little less than an inch below the center of the paper.
- Draw a second x, this time making the center a little less than an inch ABOVE the center of the paper.
- Trace with the blue marker, erasing the inside lines around the center.
- Draw thirteen stars inside the x, using the pencil once again. These will be left colorless.
- Color in the x with the blue marker, but remember, do not color in the stars, simply trace around them.
- Outside of the x, fill in the rest of the white paper red.
- This is how the finished flag will look like.
Tips
- Remember, the Confederate Battle Flag was square, not rectangular.
Warnings
- Be aware that the Confederate flag can be controversial. To some, it is a proud symbol of the South but to others it is a reminder of the shame of slavery and racial segregation. The confederate flag has been used as a symbol by the KKK and other hate groups so it is not surprising that some Americans are offended by it.
- Many confederate supporters feel that this flag symbolizes an opinion that states rights are more important than national rights.
- Please remember to respect the symbol that is this flag. People may become offended if you disrespect it- generally, try to treat it with as much respect as you treat the current American flag. Remember, this was one of the flags used by the Confederacy during the American Civil War, and thousands of people died painfully for what it stood for.
- If you are offended by this symbol, don't assume it is a hate symbol. To many, the flag is a symbol of pride and heritage and they may not view the flag in the same way you do.
