Draw a Treasure Chest
Arrgh, Mateys! "X" marks the spot! Follow this tutorial to learn how to draw your very own treasure chest.
Steps
- Draw a rectangle box for the base.
- Draw a half-cylinder across the top of the box
- Erase the lines inside the cylinder, and draw the horizontal lines on the box.
- Draw the vertical lines for the straps.
- Draw the lock and keyhole.
- Draw the rivets and corner pieces on the chest.
- Draw a handle on the side.
- Draw the clean finished drawing overtop of the under-drawing.
- Erase the under drawing and add color.
- Finished.
Tips
- Experimenting with different tools will help you improve your abilities.
- The color you choose is up to you.
- Try using a felt tipped pen, or even an ink brush for your finished lines.
- Try starting with a base color, then add shadows in a slightly darker version of the base color.
