Dress Anime
Tired of wearing boring clothes? Can't find your own style? Do you want to dress like an anime character? Well, this article may help you!
Steps
- Note how the way the characters dress fits in with their personality. Then apply that to yourself. .
- Find an anime character that you want to look like. Study what they wear, how they act, and how they do their hair.
- Make a list of their clothes and things you may need to buy to make the outfits/hair styles.
- Find somewhere where you can experiment with your style without getting interrupted!
- Wear lots of wristbands and jewelry.
- Purchase shirts with anime characters on them.
- Buy tons of accessories, the more, the better. For example: beanies with ears, bows, hairbands and ribbons... etc.
- Get your hair cut and/or colored like your favorite anime character. Ask permission from your parents first.
- Put anime pins on your purse, and keychains on your backpack.
- Get anime wristbands.
- Get an authentic Japanese kimono.
Girls
- Long, over-the-knee socks in either black, white or grey are often worn. Try getting ones with ribbons at the top.
- Consider looking like a lolita. Frilly skirts can look really cute. Scope out as many different shops as you can. You need not spent a fortune on a skirt, as charity shops and thrift shops usually have hidden gems when it comes to clothing.
- Try wearing short leggings that end about two to three inches above your knees if wearing a really short skirt. You don't want to show your underwear!
- Try to layer your tops. Wear a plain strap top under shirts, cardigans or low cut jumpers. Try to make them have cute patterns, ribbons or badges.
- If you wish to wear a dress make it a cute ruffled dress.
- Carry around appropriate objects. A teddy or a sweet backpack can work wonders to make your outfit come together.*
Boys
- Layer your tops. Wear a longer sleeved one underneath a short sleeved one for a really hot look.
- Get a pair of amazing trainers. They shouldn't be white, and try to get coloured laces or even coloured shoes.
- Either a jacket or man-cardigan is essential for colder days. Try to get it in black, dark blue or the colour your favourite anime character wears.
- If your favourite anime character is a "neko-boy" (half cat), you could even get a pair of cat ears, or make your own, this applies to the girls as well.
