Dye Queen Anne's Lace Different Colors

Have you ever picked a Queen Anne's Lace flower, and wanted to do something special with it? This is a very simple process to dye the flower different colors.

Steps

  1. Pick as many Queen Anne's lace flowers you want. Cut off the roots, but leave a stem of at least {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}}. Bring them inside.
  2. Take out your supplies (food coloring, water, and some sort of waterproof container). Pour in the water. You don't need much. But don't drown your flower!
  3. Add about 3-5 drops of food coloring.
  4. Leave your flower in its holder until it changes color. You don't need to take it out, because leaving it in will make it last longer.
  5. Enjoy! Feel free to experiment with different colors.

Tips

  • Yellow doesn't work as well as the other colors.

Warnings

  • Don't leave it at a place your pets or kids could knock it over (though if the color has already settled it won't affect it).

Things You'll Need

  • Queen Anne's lace flowers
  • Some kind of waterproof container or jar (whatever works)
  • Food coloring
  • Water
