Find Instrumental Versions of Songs

Sometimes we find a song that we love, and we'd love to hear an instrumental version of that song. This can be a tricky task though. Here you will learn how to track down an instrumental version of a song, if one exists.

Steps

  1. Figure out what song you want to find an instrumental version of.
  2. When you figure out the song, do your homework. Get on a search engine and type in the title of the song, the artist, and the words "instrumental version." Also, go to Amazon.com and type in the song and artist. If the song was released as a single off of an album, sometimes the single may contain an instrumental version. This will confirm that an official instrumental version exists.
  3. Get on YouTube and look up the title of the song, the artist, and the words "instrumental version." If someone has uploaded a video that contains the instrumental of the song, you can listen to it there. Also, sometimes someone will compose their own instrumental version and put it up on YouTube. Don't be deterred by this, sometimes user-created instrumentals can be quite good.
  4. If you do happen to find an official instrumental version, get on your music site or peer-to-peer program of choice and look it up. Buy it or download it if you're able to find it, and enjoy!
