Find the Original Source of a Video on wikiHow
So... there you are on Recent Changes patrol... and a video pops up... How do you find the source of that video to be able to determine if it is "open source" or legal for us to import and display here? Well, here's a way to do it.

- Click on the video diff link in RC patrol.
- For example: (diff)
- Find the wiki-markup that adds the video in the edit. This should look something like
Template:Green to form something like this:
Template:Green - Put the link you just formed to your browser's address bar and click the "Go" button or press the Enter key. This will take you to the video itself.
- Click the "Edit" button and you should see something like
Template:Green - Read the source (the first section of the template, Template:Green in this example) and determine if it is legal.

- You can find out about sources that are importable to wikiHow in the Importable Content Page.
Warnings
- Videos from other sources must be shared by explicit permission.
