Get Nice Waves

Do you want beautiful waves that make your hair the envy of every other girl? No problem! Getting perfect waves is actually pretty simply - you just need some good haircare products, the right technique and a little patience!

Steps

  1. Use S-curl, 360 Style wave pomade, or Murray's pomade.
    • Dampen your hair with a warm towel to soften your hair (you can use iron to heat damp towel.)
    • Smear a half dollar sized dab of wave grease on your hair in your wave pattern and then brush your hair until slight waves come out.
    • Get a hot/warm towel and put it on your head to soften the grease.
    • Brush your hair to spread it all throughout the hair
  2. Put a du-rag or wave cap on while you are training your hair (after brushing)
  3. Repeat that process every day, but also:
    • Towel off the old pomade, and freshen it up.
    • Wash your hair every 3-4 days,
  4. Washing your hair everyday you will lose your wave pattern.
    • Dampen du-rag with water and/or moisturizer using a spray bottle like in the barbershops.
  5. Remember that if you don't have waves, they won't pop out in one day. Use a very stiff brush.[1]

Tips

  • Brush you hair when you are doing nothing.
  • Brush hair -- when you aren't doing anything always brush
  • Use a soft brush to connect the waves
  • Use a hard brush to straighten hair
  • Use a soft brush with 360 style wave control pomade for good results.
  • Murray's Pomade is kind of thick but it gives you some nice looking waves.
  • If you don't want permanent waves you could use a curling wand and loosely wrap the hair around the stick to make it more wavy curls instead of tight ones.
  • Use mousse to scrunch your hair into waves.
