Get Rid of Spots Quickly

This will help you clear those annoying spots or zits that everyone can see!

Steps

Using water

  1. Use a pH balanced cleanser of 5 1/2. This will restore the acid mantle to effectively fight active acne vulgaris.
    • An alternative cleansing method is Oil Cleansing Method (OCM). Olive oil, castor oil, and mineral oil are popular choices.

Exfoliation

  1. Chemically Exfoliate with an AHA. Get a good quality exfoliator between a pH of 3 and 4. Exfoliate in the evening as an AHA will cause photosensitivity.

Creams

  1. Moisturize. Restoring the moisture barrier prevents over production of sebum

Treatment

  1. Effective Ingredients. Use a vitamin c serum, or a product containing niacinamide to fade acne spots
  2. Sunscreen. Use a sunscreen with spf 30 for UVB protection, and a pa+++ or higher sunscreen for uva protection.

Tips

  • Ice cube's can bring down swelling but can also cause ice burns.
  • While makeup does cover spots, take care on hot days. If you're staying inside or doing something heavily physical, carefully choose makeup, as the sweat can increase acne vulgaris. Aim for a lighter bb cream or powder or mineral foundation.
  • Use a separate cleanser to remove makeup completely.
  • Use Sudocrem, it makes the spot go down and when you apply it, it kind of stings.

Warnings

  • Avoid picking spots. You might be left with marks for life.
  • If the exfoliator/skin cream starts to itch, swell up, go red or anything that doesn't look right, then take off immediately with hot water!
