Get the "Cut" HM in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen

Sometimes on Pokémon versions FireRed or LeafGreen, you run into a tree that might possibly be cut down. All you need in that situation is the "Cut" HM; unfortunately, getting the HM is a bit of a hassle, but you can do it if you go to the right places and defeat the right people.

Steps

  1. When you reach Cerulean City, take the Nugget Bridge and go right.
  2. Battle all the trainers and go into Bill's house and change him back into a human. He will give you the ticket to ride the SS. ANNE.
  3. Go to Vermillion City, go to the dock and board the boat.
  4. Defeat all the trainers and go to the top. You will battle your rival Gary.
  5. After that you go to the room and help the captain feel better and you will receive the HM cut.

Tips

  • He uses Electric Pokémon, so bring a Ground type. You can catch a Diglett or a Dugtrio at the Diglett's Cave, on the Eastern exit of Vermillion.
  • Use cut to cut the tree down and battle LT. Surge the 3rd gym leader.
