Have Fun After Defeating Alduin in Skyrim

One of the great things about Elder Scrolls games is the freedom you have. After beating Alduin, the entire realm of Skyrim begs to be explored. Here are some things you might want to try.

Steps

  1. Try going back to all the cities you have visited and talking to everyone. Many side quests can start from just talking to people in towns.
  2. Don't forget to look back at your unfinished quests. After walking through the main quest, chances are that you'll have picked up quite a few more quests. Start doing them, they can be a lot of fun!
  3. Join a faction. The Dark Brotherhood or The Companions are good ones to try.
  4. Try being a vampire or a werewolf. Both give you special skills and abilities.
  5. Take a side in the war! If you haven't joined either the Stormcloaks or the Imperials, look back in your quest log, and there should be a quest that will start your journey.
  6. If you've done all of this, you could just try starting over again. Choose a different race, and try a different playstyle. Start a mage or assassin character, if you played as a warrior the first time. Playing as a different class can really enhance your experience.

Tips

  • Try to get all of the Deadric artifacts.
  • Try to defeat all named dragons
  • Try a different personality. For example if you finished the game as a good guy try the opposite. Become a bad guy or vice versa.
  • Buy a DLC and find all of the Easter Eggs
  • Don't be afraid to start a new game, you can have multiple characters at once.
  • Try role-playing a character. Make decisions you would make in real life, eat, and sleep regularly.
  • Try starting a harder game.
  • Try to get 10 of every single item in the game
  • Find all of the collectables i.e stones of Barenziah
  • The places in skyrim are endless. Find a cave or bandit camp, and fight!
  • Learn new shouts and spells. Also, try increasing all your perks to 100.
