- Comb your hair instead of brushing it. Running a plastic-bristled brush through your hair, especially when it's wet, is almost guaranteed to cause some damage. Brushing tends to rip your hair, while combing removes the tangles without pulling it out. Use a wide-tooth comb and work out the tangles starting close to the tips and moving up to the roots.
- Don't use damaging treatments. Dyeing, bleaching, chemically straightening and chemically curling your hair all damage the shaft. For the healthiest possible hair, it's best to stop these treatments and let your hair take on its natural color and texture. - If your hair tends to get very dry, try using a leave-in conditioner as well. Apply the conditioner after you get out of the shower, while your hair is still damp. It will keep your hair soft and supple until your next shampoo.

- One blended banana or avocado

- Choose a silicone-free conditioner. Silicons are added to conditioner because they make hair look shiny and smooth after the first few applications. Unfortunately, over time they build up in your hair and cause it to look weighed-down and dull. You're better off with silicone-free options.

Finally, add 3 tablespoons of honey. Mix well. Apply this to your scalp and hair, leave it for 30 minutes, rinse and wash hair like normal. You can also try adding two raw eggs to a bowl, adding 5 teaspoons of olive oil, mixing it well, and applying it on your scalp. Wear a shower cap, leave it on for 30 minutes, rinse, and wash your hair like normal.
- Put your hair in a bun/braid/ponytail on windy days.
- If you want a quick shine and lustre in your hair. Try adding a lemon into your bath cup and wash your hair with it. And simply dry. It really works!!
- Try clarifying your hair once a month since this will clean your hair out. To clarify your hair use apple cider vinegar and baking soda.

- Don't use products that are too harsh for your hair type.
- Never use heated tools on your hair daily,as heat is very damaging for hair. Curling irons, straighteners, blow dryers, crimpers, basically any heat tool you use on your hair is damaging to your hair in the long run. Avoid using them often and opt for heat-free styles and air drying your hair. Squeeze the excess water out of your hair after soaking, and gently pat drier with a clean towel.
- Avoid coloring your hair. Coloring your hair is not good for it. Harmful dyes and chemicals can lead to dry, breaking hair. Try to use a box dye or temporary dye if you must color it. These can provide you with fun color while not damaging your hair. Bleaching is especially harmful. You can dye your hair once in a while though, just not often.
