Look Cute Rollerskating

Rollerskating is a great exercise and fun. It's even more fun when you are skating with friends. If you want to look cute while doing it, here are some tips.

Steps

  1. Know that when rollerskating, many people tend to look at you for two main reasons: how good you are, and how you look. So the first thing you might want to do is learn or practice skating before attempting this. If you have no balance or coordination, try taking classes or try practicing how to balance each day. You will see improvements very quickly.
  2. Wear something that you feel comfortable in and can move around in. Colorful tank tops, cap sleeve logo tees, and short shorts are always good. You can wear a long sleeve or thermal tee if it is in the Winter, but remember sweat stains aren't cute. Wear a light skirt if it's not too cold, but if you are going to skate fast, wear some of your favorite shorts, Capri's, or jeans.
  3. Let your hair loose, and maybe waved. Never put it in a ponytail - you'll look bald once you put the helmet on. Yes, wear a helmet.
  4. Try not to be stiff while skating. The correct stance in skating is to bend your knees a little. Try sticking your butt out a little too while you're at it. Turn your toes inwards and push out to go faster and smoother. Talk and mingle with others while skating. Don't try to act or look cool, because usually you'll just end up being labeled as a snobby, stuck-up jerk.

Tips

  • If you fall often, you may want to wear long pants to avoid getting injuries to your legs.
  • Be yourself, don't act stuck-up or pretend to be someone else just to impress someone on the rink. If you act like a jerk, chances are the person you are trying to impress will not be!
  • Always have your head up high and try not to look down.
  • Try to be graceful and don't be too klutzy when skating.
  • Try wearing leggings and on top of the leggings wear a cute skirt.
  • Get really cool rollerskates (not the kind with lights)!
  • Learn to skate before you attempt it in public.
  • If you are female, try wearing a miniskirt to make it cuter!
  • Try to move your hips when skating. It will show you're happy and confident.
  • Remember your safety gear. (Helmet, knee, wrist and elbow pads)
  • Don't wear a dress or skirt if you fall a lot.
  • If you can, practice indoors, on carpet, or outside on grass, just to start off, and be prepared, it is easier to do it on grass and carpet than it is to do on actual sidewalk and roads.
  • If you're going to wear a skirt, don't wear one on a windy day!
  • Be careful, but have fun. If he laughs when you fall chances are you will be sad. It doesn't matter what he thinks, don't wear special clothes, just be you and if he doesn't like that he's not the right one!

Warnings

  • Don't try to do any flips, tricks, or crazy skating stunts, because unless you're a professional skater, you will probably just end up falling on your butt (or head) and embarrass yourself and everyone will stare, but not in the admiring kind of way.
