Steps
- Look Cute! Girls in the 7th grade tend to shop at places such as Aeropostale, Target, Delia's, Abercrombie and Fitch, Tilly's, Forever 21, Hollister, and places like that. They will most likely sell cute and trendy clothes, that you might like as well! Remember to buy whatever you want, don't let others pressure you into buying something you don't particularly like.
- Wear Makeup if it's your thing. Ask your parents first. If they say no, try going very light, like tinted lip balm. If you are allowed to put makeup on, you can use things like eyeshadow, mascara, or hair spray. Remember to respect school rules regarding makeup.
- Have a purse. In your purse you should have Chapstick or lip balm, money if you need it, and keys if you walk home. Don't forget to carry sanitary wear items if you've started your period.
- Have good hygiene. No one wants to stand next to a girl who smells bad, so take a shower every day or every other day. Also, don't wear heavy-smelling perfume or mist, stick to subtle scents like vanilla and jasmine. Also, remember to wear deodorant/anti-perspirant.
- Read fashion magazines. Buy fashion magazines such as Teen Vogue, Seventeen, and Glamour. They have the newest, most up-to-date fashion trends. You don't have to follow them, but they're certainly a good place to start if you're searching for a new look.
- Don't take peoples insults in a harsh way and change the way you are. People will say mean things but you shouldn't let them bother you. If you like yourself how you are, no one has any say in the matter.
Tips
- Always have your hair fresh.
- Be yourself!! Most important rule!
- Don't be "that" clique. Be nice to people, smile- A smile is your best accessory!
- Don't copy other people. Be yourself!
- Have lunch money with you. If you forget, ask a friend if you can borrow enough money to buy a small snack, like a granola bar. Pay them back the next day.
- Cell phones and iPods are NOT a must- carry what you need for school, like pens, pencils, and pads/tampons (if you need them).
- Try to be nice to everyone!
- Don't be a drama queen. Nobody wants to hear you complain all day.
- Don't push yourself to be noticed. They'll notice you for you.
- Don't dress up to impress someone, but do it for you. You have your own personality and dressing what represents you will make you feel good.
Warnings
- if you do forget to shower, make sure to put on deodorant/perfume/bodymist and brush your teeth so you won't smell .
- If you don't shower or bathe one day, try to cover up with some vanilla body splash, or any other scent that ISN'T TOO STRONG. If the smell is too strong, people might get an overpowering scent, and that's never good.
- Don't be tacky.
