Apply Makeup in Seventh Grade

Hey girls! Are you trying to find that look that makes you feel and look good, but you don't know what to apply? Or are you just trying to learn the basics? Well here is your answer to that! Just keep on reading to find a cute, appropriate make up look.

Steps

  1. Wash your face with water, and a facial cleanser. Try and find a facial wash which matches your skin type, such as one for dry or oily skin. You could also use a scrub once in a while. It is important to take good care of your skin at this age, in order to prevent acne in the future.
  2. Pat your face dry with a towel, or paper towel. Make sure not to rub too hard, because that can irritate your skin.
  3. If you have any blemishes that you want to cover up, start with a concealer that matches your skin tone, not too light or too dark. Pat it onto your skin with your ring finger or you can use a makeup brush to blend it if you prefer. Make sure you don't use too much, as it will look caked on.
  4. Take a translucent powder and apply it all over your face with a fluffy brush. This will stop your makeup coming off, as well as stopping your skin from looking oily. There is no need to wear any foundation at your age, as your skin is likely clear and fresh, and applying too much face makeup when you don't need it will only block your pores and ruin your skin in the future.
  5. If you want, you can apply some blush to the apples of your cheeks lightly. The apples are under your eyes. If you can't find them, smile, and the two circles are the apples. You should use a blush that is also close to your skin tone. Like a light pink, or a rose for girls with darker skin.
  6. Take a white eye or cream shadow, and lightly apply under your eyebrow. Don't apply too much because it can look bad. It highlights your eye color, and makes your eyes pop!
  7. Use a light brown or pink toned eye shadow, and put it on the lid of your eyes. If you want it to look a bit more sophisticated, then spread it to the outer corner. Less really is more here, especially for daytime.
  8. Apply a dark brown eyeliner to just your upper waterline. This will look more natural than a harsh black. Be careful! Smudge it a little, so it isn't too dramatic. If this confuses you, go look up tutorials on Youtube.
  9. If your eyelashes are naturally dark, you can apply black mascara, but if you have blonde or light brown lashes, a dark brown mascara will look far better. Apply one coat on your top lashes. That should be enough for you. They also sell clear mascara, which is probably better for school. It makes your eyelashes really pop without looking like you're really wearing mascara.
  10. To finish this look, use a little lip gloss or tinted lip balm. A rose, or shimmery pink will make your whole look a little bit better. If you don't like the sticky feel of lip gloss, try a tinted lip-balm. It's very moisturizing and it gives your lips just enough shine.

Tips

  • Remember to use lip balm/chapstick so your lips don't get chapped
  • Bring a little survival kit with you to school, including ( lip gloss, mascara, blush, concealer, etc.) You don't really need to bring eyeshadow, but if you wish, go ahead.
  • If your skin has to many blemishes for concealer, try a bb cream
  • Also throw in some lotion and hand sanitizer, you never know when you'll need that.
  • Lastly, make sure your parents are okay with this. Give them a heads up and a double check so they are just as aware as you.
  • Use an eye shadow primer so it does not come off during the day or crease
  • If your parents aren't okay with this, wait until you're older, you will probably have better skin, anyway.
  • Too much makeup can look unattractive.
  • Use a good primer so your makeup doesn't wipe away in an hour. You can also use a bit of color corrector if you have really bad problems with acne or discoloration.
  • If your parents are strict on makeup, try asking them for a clear mascara instead of a black or brown one.
  • You should probably take some items to school in case your makeup gets messed up in P.E or anything.
  • Don't wear too much makeup because grade seven isn't high school. You don't want to grow up too fast, trust my word, I've been there.

Warnings

  • Do not use a very colorful eye shadow. Stay neutral.
  • Try not to over-do the mascara and lip gloss. It won't flatter you as much.
  • Mascara in the lower lashes usually end up looking bad,so try sticking to the top only for now.
