Steps
- Get two small baggies and put a few Have Fun With an Ice Cube in them. Cover them with two fluffy wash cloths, and lay them over your eyes for 10 minutes. This will brighten them up by constricting the blood vessels. If your face gets so numb you can't stand it, have 30 second intervals.
- Apply a rosy pink lip gloss to your lips. The color brings a vitality to your pucker, unlike nudes, which can make you look corpse-like. Bring along some of the gloss because its likely to dry out quickly if you're sick.
- Apply a creamy bronzer. It counteracts the pinkness. Only put on a little bit of foundation so that it'll stick to your face better.
- If you have a cold sore, use over-the-counter cold sore cream to speed up healing. In the mean time just use cover up!
- Brush your teeth and smile a lot! This should make you look happy and healthy, even if you aren't. So keep on grinning!
- Eat a good breakfast. This makes you a happier and can reduce the grumbling sound that people hear in the middle of class.
- Make some tea and bring along a healthy lunch. Try snow peas or something that will "invigorate" you. Don't get into the "I'm sick so I can eat what I want," mood. It will make you feel guilty and its not healthy. Eat healthily (or as well as possible) and you'll get better quicker.
- Don't be embarrassed of blowing your nose when your nose runs. Mucus dripping from one's nose is quite a put off.
Tips
- Make sure that you wash your hands as often as you can so that no one catches whatever you have.
- If you're really very ill, don't go out: this can make you more sick, and pass your illness around. Take the day off if you're so sick that you can't stand up.
- Make sure people know you're sick so they can try to avoid catching whatever you have, whether it's a small cold or an awful stomach bug.
- Put a cold flannel on your face for about 2 minutes, this will refresh you so you feel a bit more normal and also reduce any puffiness or redness on your face, making you look better.
- Keep some cucumbers over your eyes to make the bags under you eyes go away.
- Get as much rest as you can and steam your face.
Warnings
- Make sure you don't put on too much make up, this can irritate your face and cause even more problems then you already have from being sick
- This doesn't cure your illness, it covers it up. When you get back home, rest in bed or on the couch and drink some herbal tea.
- If you usually don't wear make-up, don't wear it when you are sick. People will notice a pattern.
- Only put a LITTLE perfume. Perfume can make your sickness worst [depends on sickness] from the fumes.
