Steps

  1. You have to have long hair, but not {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}}. Rapunzel's hair is long and blonde, it is what she is mostly known for. You can dye your hair if you like, but it isn't necessary. Just let your hair grow and take good care of it. Rapunzel's hair is always flawless. It glows when she sings, but putting glitter in your hair can seem fake, so let it shine with health instead!
  2. Rapunzel wore her hair in a beautiful whimsical braid in the movie, because she had to stop people from standing on it. So what you can do is take to sections of your hair in the front and French braid them loosely and put your hair in a big braid at the back of your head. Put flowers in it occasionally.
  3. Make sure you act like a princess. Be kind to all people. Rapunzel, like most other Disney princesses, is very gentle and gracious. Due to her living isolated from the world all her life, she is incredibly innocent, almost naive.
  4. Practice singing. Rapunzel has a strong, beautiful singing voice.
    • Try joining a choir or taking voice lessons.
  5. Rapunzel is used to doing things by herself. She is always busy! Crafting, cleaning, painting, reading, baking, you name it!
  6. The world she lives in is old, so Rapunzel doesn't know about modern electronics and the likes. Try living without them, but don't go too far. You know what they are, after you live in the 21st century!
  7. Dress timelessly and modestly. Rapunzel wears long, beautiful, flowing dresses. They are quite simple, though, not too frilly. You would never see her in mini-skirts and belly tops. She's a princess!
  8. Be happy and cheerful. Smile! Rapunzel is generally positive. Sure, she can get angry, frustrated, sad, worried etc. but she doesn't go around sulking too much.

  • Try watching the film over and over and taking notes on Rapunzel's character.

Warnings

  • Know where to draw the line. Long hair, yes. {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} long? No. It gets difficult to keep clean once it starts to touch the ground.
  • Don't straighten your hair. Preferably avoid all heat-styling products. They damage your hair, and Rapunzel has never used them. Don' worry, when your hair gets long enough the weight of it will stretch out any curls.
