Look and Feel Healthy

Looking healthy and feeling healthy are mutually supportive outcomes. You need to eat well, exercise, get enough sunshine and think positive. The inner glow affects the outer glow, so pay attention to negative thinking patterns and be done with them!

Steps

Being healthy

  1. Get enough sleep to last you the entire day. That means get 7 to 8 hours sleep if you can, or more if you're a teenager.
  2. Eat healthily. Eat plenty of vegetables, grains and healthy sources of protein. Eat fruit regularly in its whole form. Keep sweet foods for occasional treats only.
    • Do you consume drinks that are a bit too sweet, or are carbonated as your common drink? Reduce the sweet drinks and drink at least 8 glasses of water scattered throughout the day.
    • Reduce the amount of candies you consume. Keep these for special treats now and then.

Looking healthy

  1. Care for your hair. If you have messy hair, it looks as if you are not taking care of it, so you must comb it twice a day, maybe consider tying it up when not at a formal occasion(like when you are out for coffee, shopping, school, etc, whichever hair type your hair is. If your hair is grey, then you should really get a dye unless it suits you. Try not to curl or straighten your hair everyday, or use too many chemicals on it- remember, the more natural, the better.
  2. Iron your clothes before you go anywhere, this really does make a difference, if you are wearing a top that has creases in it, people will think that you just throw it on the floor when you get home and wear it again the next day.

Feeling healthy

  1. Wash your face with a face towel without soap morning and night, this prevents spots.
  2. Brush your teeth three times a day. Brush once in the morning, once after your lunch and once at night. However, if you do this, brush with a gentle technique, as over-brushing can cause a loss of enamel and/or a reduction in gums.

Tips

  • Always wear sun tan lotion before going out into the sun.
  • Don't sleep more on weekends, that's what causes 'hard-to-get-up' Mondays.
