Make Banana Cream Cheese Frosting
This frosting matches well and is excellent to have when you're making banana cupcakes or a banana cake. Here is how to make banana cream cheese frosting.
- Yields: 2 1/2 cups of frosting
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (60g) butter, room temperature
- 1 cup (12 oz/340g) cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 cup (58g) sour cream
- 1 large banana, mashed
- 1 teaspoon, vanilla
- Dash of freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 package (16 ounces) confectioners sugar
Steps
- Measure and add the butter, sour cream, and cream cheese in a large bowl.
- Beat everything together until smooth and light in color.
- Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl.
- Continue mixing. You want to achieve a fluffy and creamy mixture.
- Use immediately on a cooled cake. You can also use clear wrap on the bowl and chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.
