Make Cocoa Fudge
Fudge made from cocoa powder with a vanilla flavor. This fudge is simple to make and delicious.
Contents
Ingredients
- ½ cup of condensed milk (mix dry ingredients before adding)
- 3 level tablespoonfuls of butter (melted)
- 2 ½ cups of powdered sugar
- 6 tablespoonfuls of quality coco
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoonful of vanilla extract
Steps
- Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan, apart from the vanilla.
- Stir constantly, until it begins to boil. Reduce heat, stirring occasionally, for eight or ten minutes, or until the mixture makes a firm ball when dropped in cold water.
- Add vanilla and mix until smooth consistency
- Pour into a buttered pan. You can use baking paper if preferred.
- Put in refrigerator to firm for 2 hours
- Cut in squares when firm and enjoy.
Tips
- Great care must be taken not to beat too much, because the mixture cannot be poured into the pan, and will not have a gloss on top.
- You need to use sugar. If you are diabetic or don't like sugar, use a sugar substitute because the sugar is a key ingredient.
Things You'll Need
- Saucepan
- Spoon for mixing
- Baking sheet, pan or tray
- Baking powder (if you do not grease the tray)
- Knife
