  • Whipped cream
  • Small chocolate candies such as M&M's or Hershey's kisses

  • Various marshmallows (different size, shape, colour etc.)
  • Flavouring syrup

Method 2

  • Hot chocolate powder
  • Milk
  • Sugar to taste
  • Marshmallows
  • Whipped cream
  • Grated chocolate curls

Steps

Deluxe Hot Chocolate

  1. Fill the bottom of the mug with marshmallow fluff. You shouldn't see the bottom but you should still have plenty of space left above the fluff.
  2. Take some whipped cream and add about the same amount as the fluff.
  3. Add some small chocolate sweets such as M&M's, Smarties or a few small blocks of chocolate. Not too much though, make sure it's flat.
  4. Add two tablespoons of the hot chocolate powder (Milo, Hershey's, Swiss Miss etc.)
  5. Pour in a lot of hot water (but don't fill the cup yet).
  6. Add in some milk, preferably full cream.
  7. Add some sprinkles of your choice, like cinnamon sprinkles or chocolate vermicelli.
  8. Add a few big marshmallows or lots of mini ones.
  9. Enjoy!

Ultra Creamy and Silky Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate is a heavenly drink, especially in winter and autumn when a chilly breeze is blowing. Sometimes though, things can go wrong and you can end up with a yucky hot chocolate that just doesn't hit the spot. So here's a perfect hot chocolate to enjoy.

  1. Three quarter fill a mug with milk. Any kind of milk is fine.
  2. Put this in your microwave for 50-60 seconds. Then remove it.
  3. Add a level teaspoonful of cocoa powder. Again, any kind is good.
  4. Stir in the powder, then whisk it up to reduce lumps.
  5. Put the mug back in the microwave for 50-60 seconds. Then take it out.
  6. Stir your hot chocolate up. Add as much sugar as you need to; taste it after each spoonful to taste it
  7. If you're going to add garnish, now is the time. For example, put in a square or two of solid chocolate and some marshmallows, then put it back in the microwave so the chocolate melts.
  8. Put your hot chocolate in the microwave for 60 seconds and then take it out.
  9. Add a curl of whipped cream and a couple of grated chocolate curls.
  10. Enjoy!

Tips

  • You could use malt powder (such as Horlicks) instead of chocolate.
  • Before you pour the water, add a serving of flavouring syrup, such as Monin's or similar.
  • You can add the whipped cream just before the toppings instead, if you'd like.
  • If you're already making yourself diabetic, bring a few biscuits/cookies to enjoy dipping with.
  • Stir the drink thoroughly or the power will end up turning into a block of chocolate.

Things You'll Need

  • A really big mug
  • Stirring spoon
