Make Job Specific Resumes With Resunate

Resunate is a free online resume builder to create different resumes for different job descriptions. In this wikiHow you will be walked through the process of creating job specific resumes.

Steps

  1. Begin by pointing your browser (Mozilla, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari) to http://resunate.com
  2. Type in your login email and password:
  3. Click the pink "sign in" button:
  4. Here you will see Resunate's resume manager and tracking system
  5. Follow the "Update Profile Details" link to populate your profile
  6. One way to populate your Resunate profile is to import your LinkedIn profile
  7. Click "Continue" on the import page to allow Resunate to populate your profile:
  8. You will return to the Resunate "Profile Details" page with a fully populated profile
  9. Another way to import information to "Profile Details" is to upload an old resume
  10. Click "Browse" to select a file from your desktop (in any format)
  11. Click "UPLOAD RESUME NOW" to allow Resunate to extract information
  12. To make edits to your profile, click on individual sections to expand the box x
  13. To add new content to your profile, select a category in the "New Information Box"
  14. Tips will appear for each text field, helping you develop valuable content
  15. Once you've setup your profile, you can move to the "Resume Canvas" tab to start your first resume
  16. You'll see your entire Resunate profile in resume format
  17. To make your resume more appropriate, you can focus it to an individual job description
  18. Copy & paste a job description into the "Focus Resume" text field
  19. Click "Focus Resume" for Resunate to process and remove less relevant content from your resume
  20. Now you can choose another template for your resume
  21. Click "Template Design" to automatically reformat your resume
  22. To make final edits to your resume text, click on the resume
  23. After you've made edits, click "Ok" to save edits
  24. To automatically bring back content Resunate deemed less relevant, click on it under "Restore Info"
  25. Finally, name the resume you focused and click the "save" icon to store it in your Resunate account
  26. To download the resume, click on the PDF icon
  27. You can see a list of all your resumes by clicking on My Resumes
  28. In My Resumes you can keep track of all your resumes by selecting a status
  29. If you are finished editing your resumes, click on your name and select "Sign-out" to logout of Resunate
