Make Office Darts

A boring day at the office can be remedied by an impromptu game of darts during coffee break, but your boss probably won't be receptive to your bringing a dartboard to work. Instead, make your own game of office darts using these instructions.

Steps

  1. Find three unsharpened wooden pencils.
  2. Tape a push pin to the end of a single pencil. Simply press a length of tape sticky-side down over the point of the pin, place the pin against the blunt end of the pencil, and wrap the tape down over the sides to secure the pin in place. Apply additional pieces of tape if necessary.
  3. Fold a small post-it in half, place the pencil in the crease, and tape the paper to the pencil. Fold two more post-its and arrange them so that all three creases meet in the middle, forming a three-pointed wing on the end of the dart. Tape the papers together. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the remaining pencils.
  4. Make a dart board. Draw or print out a picture of a dart board (or your nemesis) and pin it up on a bulletin board or soft cubicle wall. The soft backing will allow the darts to stick when thrown. Then start playing darts.

Tips

  • Do not add any more weight to the darts than is necessary. Even using too much tape can weigh them down.
  • You can use a hollowed-out pen for this as well.

Warnings

  • Be careful when throwing the darts; you want to aim at the dart board, not a co-worker!
  • Be careful when assembling and using darts in the office; this may be grounds for discipline or termination.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 unsharpened wooden pencils
  • 3 push-pins
  • 9 small size post-its
  • Tape
  • Computer and printer
