Make Oreo Cookie Pops

Create the perfect collision of Oreos and lollipops by making your own Oreo cookie pops. Although these delectable pops may look like you slaved for hours, keep your secret because these treats only take a few minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Double Stuff Oreos
  • 2 (12 oz.) bags of candy melts (William White works best)
  • Confetti sprinkles

Steps

  1. Pull the Oreos apart. You’ll need to use a little finesse to break apart the cookies without crumbling or breaking the cookies. Make sure one side of the cookie has the icing completely on it, too.
  2. Place a lollipop stick in the middle of the icing. Position the top ¼ portion of the stick on top of the cookie frosting. Press gently to embed the stick without breaking the cookie. You want to make an indentation inside the frosting.
  3. Pour candy melts into a microwave safe bowl and melt candy for approximately 30 seconds.
    • Remove bowl from microwave, stir and return to the oven for another 20 to 30 seconds of heating (if necessary). Watch candy very carefully to avoid having it burn. Consider heating only until a few pieces of candy are not melted. You can stir the candy together until smooth.
  4. Remove the lollipop stick from frosting bed and dip the ¼ inch portion into the melted candy.
    • Return the lollipop stick to the cookie indentation and allow it to set.
  5. Return cookie top to the frosted half and allow the melted candy to harden between the cookie halves.
  6. Lower the Oreo pop, cookie side down into the bowl of melted candy. You want to coat only the cookie with melted candy.
    • Spoon melted candy over the entire cookie in the event you have areas that aren’t covered.
  7. Remove cookie from melted candy, allow the excess to drizzle into the bowl and then place covered cookie on a waiting baking sheet covered in parchment paper.
  8. Immediately sprinkle the candy confetti over the wet chocolate before the candy hardens.
  9. Finished.
