Make Organic Aphid Sprays

Organic aphid sprays are an eco-friendly and health-conscious way of getting rid of aphids in your garden. Here are some different sprays that are all suitable for removing aphids organically.

Steps

Garlic, Onion and Soap Aphid Spray

  1. Blend the ingredients on high.
  2. Strain the blended mixture to separate the liquid from the blend.
  3. Pour the liquid into a spray bottle.
  4. Spray directly onto aphids. This will need to be repeated every few days over approximately one week.

Nasturtium Spray

  1. Boil the nasturtium leaves and water in a saucepan for 15 minutes.
  2. Strain the leaves out of the mixture and pour the liquid into a spray bottle.
  3. Spray directly onto aphids every few days over a period of a week.

Other garden sprays suitable for aphids

  1. Use rhubarb spray, garlic spray and soapy water garden spray as effective aphid killing sprays. The choice really depends on what you have to hand and what is easiest for you to make.



Tips

  • If it rains, these treatments will need to be reapplied after the rain.

  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of unscented dish soap
  • 2 cups of water

Nasturtium Spray

  • 1 cup nasturtium leaves
  • 1 cup water
