Make Spicy Macaroni and Vegetables
If you enjoy spicy food, pasta tubes and veggies, this recipe is ideal for you. Follow along from step one below to create a tasty meal for you, or you and your whole family.
Ingredients
- Macaroni
- Frozen vegetables
- Red onions
- Tomatoes
- Green chillies
- Spices e.g., ginger, nutmeg, Cinnamon, pepper corns
- Cooking oil, such as Canola
Steps
- Boil a enough macaroni to feed your guests in a pot of water until cooked to your liking, or, follow the instructions on the pack.
- In another pot, add frozen vegetables and suitable amount of water and boil until they are soft. This won't take long. Suitable frozen vegetables include, carrots, sweetcorn,green beans and Brussels Sprouts but it's entirely up to you.
- Drain the macaroni and keep aside.
- Add oil to a non-stick pan. Add chopped red onions, garlic, few green peppers, and tomatoes and sauté well.
- Add a bit of turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and pepper or other spices.
- If you want it to be little saucy, add tomato paste and not the tomatoes [Optional].
- Add the boiled vegetables and stir well.
- Serve with ketchup or a green salad.
Tips
- Make sure both the macaroni and vegetables are boiled well and are not too soft and squishy.
- You can sprinkle a little lemon juice before serving to give it a better taste.
Warnings
- Don't add too many spices...just make it simple and healthy.
