Make Vampire Fangs Using Fake Nails
So you want vampire fangs, but not tacky dollar store fangs, or expensive custom fang inserts? Here's a quick and easy method to make your vampire fangs using fake nails!
Steps
- Obtain a pair of fake nails. Pick out the pair closest in width to your eye (canine) teeth.
- File the nails to be more triangular. Make sure they are as even as possible.
- Hold the nails to your teeth, to make sure they fit nicely and you like how they look.
- Paint nails white, or off white. If you want, paint the very tips red to make it look you've recently dined. For a wet look, add a coat of clear nail polish after the white has dried.
- Check the fit and look again once they are completely dry.
- Apply denture glue to the inside of one nail and affix to your tooth. Usually you will have to hold the fang against your tooth for a minute or so as it dries.
- Repeat with the other fang.
- Finished.
Tips
- Make sure you don't make the tip too sharp, or else you could hurt yourself by accident.
- If possible get white nails.
- The fangs can be as long or short as you want. You can get the really long, curved fake nails for more impressive fangs, as well.
- Don't try to bite people. Even if you're trying to be funny, these are very sturdy and can hurt people.
Warnings
- Make sure you don't use the fangs to scare people with heart problems, psychological shocks and children. A simple prank can turn into a disaster easily in such cases.
