Make Your Hair Wavy Easily

Do you have stick-straight hair and want that just-came-back-from-the-beach wavy hair? Well, this article will provide all of the answers!

Steps

  1. Wash your hair. Condition it, when its damp comb it, before drying it scrunch it up in your hands this will create the waves you want. To dry it scrunch in your hands and hold it there while putting the hairdryer on the scrunched up hair, when it's almost dry get some volumizing mousse and rub in to your roots then scrunch up again and finish drying.
  2. Heat your curling iron. While it is heating, spray some thermal protection serum (any spray that protects your hair from the heat).
  3. Section your hair into a few parts. Pin up the top layer, then the middle layer, then the low middle layer, and leave the bottom layer down. Alligator hair clips or bobby pins are good to use for your hair.
  4. When your curling iron is all heated up, grab a section of hair. If you want big, loose waves, grab a bigger section of hair (but not so big that it can't curl). If you want smaller, tighter waves, take a smaller section of hair.
  5. Grab your curling iron and wrap your piece of hair around the curling iron without using the clamp on the curling iron. Start and the root of the chunk of hair and wrap your hair around the curling iron. Hold it there for a few seconds(3-6) and release. You have a piece of wavy hair!
  6. Repeat step 5 all around your head.
  7. When you are done with the bottom layer of hair, spray it with firm hold hairspray, twist all of it and pin it up then take down the next layer and begin that layer. Repeat steps 5 and 7 until you have a head of wavy hair!
  8. Work your fingers through your hair, but not crazily. Make sure your fingers are a good width apart so they look like a side-tooth comb. Spray some hairspray all over your hair. Make sure you don't hold the bottle too close to your head.
  9. Enjoy your newly wavy hair!
  10. Finished.

Tips

  • Not the best for chin-length hair or shorter. Best for shoulder-length to chest-length hair.
  • For a more natural/textured look, spritz some Sea Salt Texturising spray into hair before scrunching.
  • Makes layered hair look thicker.
  • If you don't have a curling iron try a flat iron.
