Make Your Sims Sick

Have you always wanted to make your poor Sims sick? Luckily, depending on which version of the Sims you own, and which expansion packs you have, there are different ways you can do that. This article will give you several suggestions for how you can make your Sims catch illnesses, feel nauseous, or throw up.

Steps

Neglecting Your Sims' Health

  1. Consider purchasing an expansion pack. There are different ways you can get your Sims sick, but depending on which version you are playing, you may need to purchase an expansion pack. Here are some examples:
    • The Get to Work expansion for the Sims 4 will allow you to choose careers (such as medical) that might bring you in contact with illnesses.
    • The Seasons expansion for the Sims 3 will allow you to change the seasons, making it easier for your Sim to catch illnesses, such as pneumonia and hay fever.
    • Late Night for the Sims 3 will allow your Sim to purchase junk food from a food truck, which will increase their chances of getting sick.
    • Pets for the Sims 2 will allow your Sim to get sick from an animal bite.
  2. Don't let your Sim sleep for a few days. Your Sims' immune system will go down, making it easier for them to get sick in the first place.
  3. Don't let your Sim dress appropriately for the weather. Make your Sim wear summer clothing (such as shorts, tank tops, and sandals) in very cold weather. This will work even in the Sims 2[1].
  4. Make your Sim spend time with someone who is sick. The virus will eventually transfer to the healthy Sim, making him or her sick. Here are some examples:
    • Make your Sim go to school and play with a sick kid.
    • Make your Sim kiss someone who is sick.
  5. Go swimming in a pool on a cold day. Make sure that they are not close to a ladder, or they will get out before they can get sick. Keep in mind, however, that spending too much time in a pool can result in drowning. This will work if you have the Sims 3 Seasons expansion pack.
  6. Leave a cold untreated. Your Sim will develop pneumonia. Keep in mind, however, that this may also kill your Sim.
    • If your Sim gets sick, you can keep them sick by avoiding things like tea and orange juice, which will help them get better faster.[2]
  7. Forget your Sim's hygiene. Don't let your Sim bathe, shower, wash his or her hands, or use the restroom. Eventually, he or she will get sick or nauseous.
    • It'll take about two in-game days before your Sims' hygiene starts to drop.[3]

Using Food to Make Your Sim Sick

  1. Make your Sim eat spoiled or rotten food.[4] Leave a meal out and wait until the meal has spoiled. Watch for some stink lines. This will take one or two "in game" days. Once the food has spoiled, click on it and choose the 'grab a plate' option. When your Sim eats the spoiled food, he or she will vomit or have diarrhea.
    • To check the status of the meal, roll your cursor over the meal; it will indicate whether the food is fresh or spoiled. Keep in mind that this may not work for older versions of the Sims.
  2. Give your Sims raw or undercooked food. The best food to use is meat. The bacteria in it will make your Sims sick and they will throw up.
  3. Feast on junk food or fast food. Your Sim will not be healthy after eating too much junk food, and will eventually get sick. Examples include hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries.
  4. Make disgusting smoothies and milkshakes and make the Sim drink it. Use strange item combinations, such as mac & cheese, fish, and bacon. The smoothie will taste disgusting and your Sim will get sick after drinking it.
  5. Overfeed your Sims. If your Sim eats too much food, he or she will get sick and throw up.
  6. Give a vegetarian Sim some meat. He or she will become nauseous and vomit. If you do not have a vegetarian Sim, you can create a new one, or wait until you get enough aspiration points; this will allow you to change the traits on your Sim without having to make a new one.
    • Vegetarian Sims also tend to get sick more often.
  7. Feed a non-vampire Sim some plasma. Create a non-vampire Sim, then make him or her eat something with plasma in it. This will cause the Sim to get nauseous and throw up.

Using the Environment

  1. Keep Tiberium rock in your Sim's inventory. He or she will get Tiberium poisoning and become nauseous. This works in "World Adventures" only.
  2. Make your Sim work in the medical field. The more time your Sim spends around sick people, the more likely he or she will get sick. If you have him or her try experimental treatments, your Sim may get nauseous and faint.
  3. Put your Sim close to someone with low hygiene. The bad smell may cause your Sim to get nauseous and throw up.
  4. Let the bathroom or kitchen get dirty. The room will grow moldy and become dirty overtime. Eventually, the Sim may clean it him or herself and get sick from the smell, bacteria, or filth.
  5. Take away the bathrooms. This will prevent your Sim from bathing and using the restroom. Eventually, he or she will go pee elsewhere, creating a disgusting and unhygienic environment. Your Sim will fall sick in no time.
  6. Make your Sim travel. The different foods and environment can make your Sim get sick.

Making Your Sims Sick in Other Ways

  1. Get your female Sim pregnant. She will get morning sickness and run to the restroom a few times to vomit. This will work in the Sims 2, 3, and 4.
  2. Know what traits to use and which ones to avoid. Certain traits can make it easier for your Sim to get sick while others can make it much harder. Here are some suggestions to get you started; keep in mind, however, that not all of these traits may be present in all versions of the Sims:[5]
    • Avoid the glutton trait. It will give your Sim a stronger stomach and make it more difficult for him or her to get sick from eating spoiled food.
    • Avoid the neat trait. A neat Sim will want to clean all the time, and it is harder to get sick in a clean environment.
    • Consider the slob trait. You will find that the house becomes dirtier faster with them around. A Sim is more likely to get sick in a dirty house.
  3. Knock down the garbage can and try to stomp on the roaches. Your Sim will find this disgusting and get nauseous.
  4. Consider installing modifications. Certain mods can change the Sims' moodlet or health bars, allowing you to make them sick on command.
  5. Create a virus using SimSanto Inc. Biotech Station. If your Sim is in the science career, he or she can create a virus using the BioTech station. You can then get your Sim, or other Sims, sick with this virus. This works for the Sims 2.[6]
  6. Shake your mobile device. After three to four seconds, your Sims should vomit. If your Sims only show nausea, just give your device another two to three seconds' shake. They will definitely be sick.
    • This works for cell phones and tablets.

Tips

  • Don't let the Sim go to sleep or sit down for a long time if you don't want it to go away.
  • If you want the sickness to go away, then just make the Sim sleep for a long time.

Warnings

  • Pneumonia and The BioTech Station Disease can kill you so make medicine or get well quickly.
  • Pneumonia take about 10 days to kill sims. While mysterious disease (known as BioTech Station Disease)take about less than 24 hours to kill sims and get 2 random symptom but can be cure very easily. If you don't want your sims to die,try keeping your sims motive high and if your sims logic skill is high enough, get The BioTech Stations and make medicine for quick cure.
