Make a Ghost out of Felt
Here's how to make a cute ghost pal. These ghosts are very simple and can be made from simple things you likely have lying about the house.
Steps
- Get a round piece of paper or fabric. Crumple it up into a ball.
- Cut a circle out of a piece of felt. Place it over the piece of balled-up fabric/paper.
- Tie a head. Place 2 to 3 strands of embroidery thread or fine string around the top of the ball, to create a head shape.
- Cut off any loose strands of embroidery thread.
- Pull the ghost into shape. Adjust the shape beneath the head so that it flows in a "ghostly" shape.
- Create a face. Draw on eyes with a glitter pen or fabric markers. If you have small buttons, pipe-cleaners or other bits and pieces in the craft box, be more imaginative and create funny ghost faces.
- You're done!!
Tips
- Paper works best stuffed under the felt.
- Make a whole group of ghosts. Glue them onto a piece of cardboard for a little scene that you can display at Halloween or anytime if you simply just like ghosts.
Warnings
- Never wash a paper ghost! If your felt ghost gets wet, wash it by hand, never in the washing machine.
