Make a List for Gear to Take Camping
When you prepare to go camping, you will need to determine the things that you already have, as well as the things you will need to buy. You can do this easily by using a colored flash card system.

Steps
- On one color of a flash card,create a list of all the things you think you will need to go camping.Use a separate card for each item.
- Make another list,on another color of the flash cards think of everything you already have for camping.
- Compare the lists and check off items you have against the list of things you think you will need.
- Revise the list of things you think you will need.This list should only include items that are not on the things you already have.
- Check the items that you already have.If some of them are worn or torn or just not suitable,add them to a new list,of Things to Buy.Purchase these items a while before your trip.
- Look at the flash cards and note those items that are necessities.Write these on a separate list and make sure that the list of necessities will fit into the car or whatever transportation you are going to use.
- Everything left on the list,that is not a necessity,set aside.Take these only if you have enough space.

Warnings
- It is better to take extra with you,then to find out while camping that you needed more.
- Assess all the GEAR you already have and make sure it's ready for camping.Replace anything that is old,worn or broken.For example,sunscreen begins to lose its effectiveness after a year.Check that your waterproof containers are still waterproof.
Things You'll Need

- A pencil.Use red or another vibrant color for items that are absolutely necessary when camping.
- Spare paper.
- Spare pencils in case they break.
