Make a Mini Rocket
Making a little rocket is loads of fun and can be done for under a few dollars!
Steps
- Gather your materials.
- Make a square with the foil. To do this, cut a 4x4 to 6x6 inch square of foil. Fold the foil to make a 2x2 or 3x3 inch square.
- Cut two of the match heads off of the matches. Keep the match heads!
- Take your headless matches and tin foil. Place the matches on the foil and roll the foil until you got a funnel.
- Take out the matches while keeping the foil in a funnel shape.
- Place the match heads into the foil funnel.
- Replace only one headless match into the end of the foil. Make sure you can see about half an inch of it.
- Take the paper clip. Hold one end and turn it upwards (like it's sticking upwards).
- Push the headless match up through the foil with the paper clip.
- Light the non-paper clipped end of the foil. Drop it down over a balcony or down a steep hill, and plug your ears! Never put it on level ground with you, in case it shoots off parallel to the ground and hits you.
Warnings
- Be extremely careful when doing this.
- Stay outside.
- Make sure you have parental supervision!
