Make a Paper Bow

Paper bows are simple crafts that are cute, easy to make and require basic materials that you already have at home. Learn how to make them in this article.

Steps

  1. Get a piece of paper. Choose any color you want your bow to be, and add patterns.
  2. Cut the paper into the size wanted. Cut a square or rectangle shape. Rectangles are often better, to avoid the bow being too big.
  3. Fold the paper like you're making a paper fan.
  4. Twist it or scrunch it in the middle. Hold in place with a small rubber band. Alternatively, you may cut a strip of paper and wrap it around the center and pinch it tight, and then glue.
  5. Slide it onto a bobby pin. Use the rubber band to hold it in place. If using a strip of paper, hot glue it to the paper.
  6. Clip it in your hair with the bobby pin. That's all there is to it!

Tips

  • If you want to be creative, you can clip the bow onto a colourful headband or wear it on your ponytail, bun or the end of a braid. Just have fun with it!
  • You can also glue things onto it or pick any size/shape/colour you want.
  • Also you can try adding pretty string or something else to it.
  • You can even do this with tissue papers!

Warnings

  • If your bow gets wet, it could fall apart unless you use waterproof paper.
