- Fold one piece of construction paper
- Staple the shorter sides together, leaving the top (longest edge) unstapled. This will be the pocket in the folder.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 with the other piece of construction paper.
- Staple in the "pockets" to both "folders". Make sure the "pockets" openings are facing up.
- Staple the separate "folders" together on one edge, so it will flip open. Make sure the "pockets" are inside.
- Decorate your folder! You now have an awesome homemade folder.
- Finished.
Tips
- Color it in and be creative in your coloring.
- Decorate it! Sharpies and pens work great!
- You have 6 pockets to put papers in! The top is not stapled so you can slide papers in there. The pockets have 1 place to slide in papers, and another since you stapled it to the folder!
- Make sure the paper is folded straight, otherwise it may not hold papers right, and won't look great.
- Using sturdy paper will look and feel great.
- Reinforcing it with tape will make it last longer.
Warnings
- Don't use super glue cause if you get it on yourself it's hard to take off.
- Don't use a hot glue gun because it goes everywhere and it's really hot and stings when you get it on yourself.
- This folder won't last forever, so be prepared to make a new one. (Keeping a spare on hand helps).
- Don't staple yourself.
