Make a Short Hairstyle Cute
Ever had one of those times when you can't find anything to do with your hair? Well, I have and having a short (like short, short) hairstyle can't help. Follow these steps to find a cute and new hairstyle that will suit you well.
Steps
- Determine what color of hair looks best on you, whether natural or dyed. Hold up swatches of dyed hair to your face to visualize your perfect color.
- Determine your hair type. To tame thick and curly hair, try layering it a bit to help it fall nicely. Try different products to increase the volume of your hair because it really helps!
- Determine your face shape. Different face shapes require different hair styles. Refer to the list below to find the best look according to your face shape.
- Oval - An oval shaped face is almost exactly like a round one, only thinner. A cute hairstyle for this shape of face is pigtails at the top of your neck and bangs swept away to the side. Very cute yet sexy.
- Square - A square shaped face is more muscular than most. If you want a more girlish look, try getting a short pixie cut and try making it a bit thicker if you have thin hair.
- Heart - A heart shaped face usually has nice cheek bones and most people want to emphasize it. To do that, try spiking your hair a bit in the back and growing out long bangs; it will really frame your face.
- Round - A round shaped face can be cute and child-like, almost angelic. To make the innocence stand out (along with cuteness and pretty) you should try a shaggier hairstyle with messy bangs. Or you can lay it flat and have it curl under and have bangs blend into your hair.
- Diamond - A diamond shaped face is cute and looks nice. A hairstyle to really bring out the cuteness of your face is to spike it in little spikes.
Tips
- If you have bangs, wash your face every day because oil from your hair can clog your pores.
- If you hate your hair color, dye it with a color complimenting your skin such as brown hair and tan skin, blonde hair with pale skin, and black hair with darker skin
- Wash your hair every other day and use less conditioner and shampoo than you usually would with longer hair
- Get a trim every two months or so just to keep your hair neat and tidy
- When spiking hair, try to get cute, little spikes but if you want mohawk-ish spikes, be my guest.
Warnings
- Barrettes and clips can be cute but don't use too many because it will look ridiculous.
- Don't use a permanent dye the first time dying your hair - you may hate the color and it could turn out wrong
- Do not use a ton of hair products - it will make your hair look and feel greasy and that's just gross.
- Using an outrageous color for dye will most likely get you unwanted attention
