Make a Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet
This is for seafood lovers who want to enjoy more flavorful fish.

Sweet and Sour Sauce
- ½ cup water or more
- 2 teaspoon cornstarch (as a thickener)
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 cup natural pineapple juice (these days there are too many artificial juices so you really have to be careful in reading the ingredients label)
- Soy sauce
- Margarine
Fish Fillet
- 2 medium size fillet Lapu – lapu fish (Only available in the Philippines) (No substitution)
- 1 ½ cup bread crumbs
- Cooking oil
- Flour
- ½ cup calamansi juice
- 3 battered eggs (with egg yolk included)
- Salt
- Any kind of seasoning
Steps
- Dissolve 2 tsp cornstarch in a warm ½ cup water
- Add margarine and pineapple juice.
- Boil until the sauce or liquid has thickened.
- Flavor with either soy sauce or salt.
- Season your fish.
- Coat your fish with egg wash and flour or bread crumbs.
- Fry your fish until cooked.
- Add the sweet and sour sauce on top of the fish.You may add onion powder on the sauce for added flavor.
- Serve and eat with rice.
