Matcha is a high quality, fine powdered Japanese tea. Aside from creating a traditional hot tea drink, it is also commonly found in cakes, mochi, and puddings. This simple green tea drink can be soothing after a long day. Here is how to make an iced green tea latte.

Makes 1 serving.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (180 mL) low-fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon matcha stone ground green tea powder
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla flavored liquid Freeze Liquid Coffee Creamer
  • Ice cubes

Steps

  1. Mix the green tea powder and water in a cocktail shaker. Stir completely until the powder has dissolved.
  2. Add ice cubes to the cocktail shaker until it's halfway full.
  3. Measure and pour the milk and coffee creamer in.
  4. Place the lid on top of the shaker. Shake well, just like a regular cocktail. You'll know when it's fully blended when there's condensation forming on the outside.
