Play Star Wars Battlefront 2 Multiplayer
Anyone can go online and play a game of Star Wars Battlefront 2, but it takes a bit of wit, strategy, and luck to win a battle. This guide is for multi-players who want basic skills to conquer.
Steps
- Choose a side in the fight.
- Find out what unit you are good with (Republic Units, Confederacy of Independent Systems Units, Rebel Units, or Imperial Units). Every player is different, and most players play with the unit that they are best with. Choose the one that is right for you.
- Befriend your teammates and help them. It is in your best and collaborative interest to help each other to ensure victory. They'll ask help from you, too.
- Don't hurt your teammate. If the server you are in has the team damage option on, you can potentially kill a teammate, which jeopardizes your status.
- Travel in twos or threes when possible.
- Be efficient with your ammunition. Although this is a step for more experienced gamers, it can lead to advantages in long, drawn-out games.
- Hold a Command Post for at least ten seconds. This will ten seconds after it has been captured, as this will reduce the capture rate for the enemy, giving you an edge in protecting the Command Post.
- Regenerate health and ammunition droids for you and your team. You don't want your enemy to heal while you're searching for red canisters.
- Keep moving. If you stay in the same place for a while, someone can snipe you.
- If you have to heal and stay and in the same place, try to hide behind the droid and shift back and forth to cut down the chances of getting shot.
- Help the defense unit when they need it. Don't attack unless you have to delay the enemy from their spawn point.
- Put mines on doors, narrow passages and near a Command Post or scoring area.
- Be careful, as mines can glow and attract attention.
Tips
- Don't give up hope on the battle. Even at near impossible odds, it is always possible to win if you have a good team playing with you. It has been reported that you can win at 15 to 250 unit count. Even if it's impossible to win by killing all enemies, you might be able to steal a win by taking all Command Posts.
- You could also try joining a clan, you may meet people with their clan 'symbol', i.e. [RoR], in-front of their name. This will help your communications with other players even more so. There are three clans at the moment [RoR] =LDS= and ^SoF^
- If you are able to choose your faction, try to keep the teams even, unless there is an arranged agreement for all human players to be on the same side.
- It is suggested that you read the manual to learn the controls and play the single player campaign and some galactic conquest or instant action before attempting multi player.
- Don't step on mines. Sometimes when you step on it may go of and other times it doesn't.
- (Splitting up helps for this, as you can try to take several Command Posts simultaneously)
- Check if a map is PC based or Console based. On a PC based map, you may find PC gamers as well as Play station gamers.
Warnings
- Results may vary. A big part in ensuring victory is the cooperation of your team and the skill levels of other players.
- Do not abuse the verbal communication system, as it is very annoying to gamers and can get you banned from the server.
- To avoid getting booted from a game session: don’t fight the power; follow the rules; don’t glitch; don’t cheat; don't kill other players on your team; don't lag (this may seem to be unfair on you; but if you lag you can be booted. Lagging can effect your damage and damage taken which is unfair to both you and your opponent. As a tip: check your ping on the 'player list' to see if the server has a good connection) and, finally, don’t verbally attack another user.
