Produce Electricity from a DC Motor
Nowadays electricity generation is a serious problem this article is about generation of electricity through a DC motor.
Steps
- Get a DC motor make sure that there is no circuit connected on the back of the DC motor because this circuit prevents the main power supply from back EMF (a process in which when motor rotates produces a current which creates a kick-back current and affects the main power source current. In order to prevent this kick back current there is a circuit connected on the back of the DC motor).
- Attach connector of DC motor with voltmeter and spin its pulley with your finger as fast as possible and note the maximum voltage produced by this movement.
- Mount a fan wing on the top of the motor pulley and expose it to air now again connect voltmeter leads and note the reading.
- Connect wires with the motor and connector and mount motor on a rig such as a pipe or a wooden mast and place it on the top of a roof or place where maximum wind power is available.
