Put a Headset in Pairing Mode
If your headset is wireless-capable, putting it in Pairing mode is necessary to connect it to another Bluetooth-compatible device. To know how, just scroll down to step 1.
Steps
- Ensure that your headset is fully charged.
- Set your headset on Pairing mode. Instructions for specific models vary, but you generally only have to hold the Pairing button until it flashes or alternate between colors.
- Consult your headset’s manual for the location of the Pairing button, as this varies on the model.
- On smaller one-piece headsets, there usually is on the Multifunction button. This can be used to answer or put down calls, or to enter Pairing mode.
- Check if setting the headset on Pairing mode was successful. To make sure that your headset is in pairing mode, you will need to have your mobile device search for it via Bluetooth.
- If you see your headset, then you have been successful in putting it in Pairing mode.
- If your headset was not detected, try tapping on the headset’s Multifunction button two or three times.
- If that still doesn’t work, consult the manual for more details for your specific headset model.
