Select Text With Gimp
Have you ever wanted to select text with GIMP so you can make gradient text or add patterns?
Steps
- Open the GIMP and make a new document.
- Press the A on the GIMP toolbox. This will open the text tool option.
- On your document click the space where you would like your text to be at and type out what you would like your text to be.
- In the toolbox at the bottom of the text tool option click "Path from text"
- Go to Select > From Path. Your text should now be selected.
Tips
- Pull the gradient tool over the text to make gradient text.
- You can right-click on the path you have just created in the path dialog and choose "stroke path" to create outlined text or other effects.
